Hi, I'm Kristi! I am a Registered Counselling Therapist with Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists and a Certified Play Therapist with the Canadian Association of Play Therapy. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I offer supervision services to certifying play therapists.
The best part about what I do is watching parents and children find joy in being together. I love to work with parents who feel disconnected from their children and lost about how to support them. After families have worked with me, I hope they leave with a deeper connection to each other. I use developmentally appropriate counselling modalities to bring healing to children and involve the parents as active participants in their child's therapy because I believe parents are the most important people in their child's life. I bring a wealth of specialized training experience in family play therapy modalities.

I value the power of attachment and family connection. I am a Registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator and Intermediate Theraplay Practitioner. I believe children have an innate ability to move towards healing if given the right environment with a trusted, non-judgemental adult, which is why I utilize child-centred play therapy as well as directive play therapy approaches. I am a Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider, providing specialized play therapy approaches for neurodiverse children and teens.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, playing piano, exploring new places and reading. If I'm procrastinating, I rearrange my furniture.
